Emergencies

Several scenarios may require emergency consultation:
  • you feel a sharp pain that lasts more than 30 seconds, such as that caused by cold when eating or drinking;
  • you experience continuous pain, especially when chewing or applying pressure to the tooth;
  • you have had an accident and one of your teeth is broken or missing. Stay calm. First, clean the mouth with warm water and apply ice on the lip and face. Try to find any fragment/s and place it/them in a container with milk, a saline solution or saliva. Fragment/s must be kept wet until your appointment.

During this consultation, several examinations will be conducted to identify the tooth responsible and to make the proper diagnosis. You will also be given a prescription for the pain.
Following this emergency consultation, another appointment will be scheduled in order to treat the tooth.
